Sub Couture women’s wear fashion boutique first opened in Notting Hill, London in 1994. Stocking designer labels like Oneseason, Patrizia Pepe, Vilagallo, Five Jeans and more. July 2020 saw Sub Couture open their second larger store in Stroud selling women’s clothing, upcycled furniture, artwork, homeware and men’s clothing. Why Stroud? Stroud is changing drastically and is part of a multi million pound regeneration programme, and we are proud to be a part of this. Since opening our doors we can see the positive impact this is having and even during the pandemic our boutique managed to achieve the Drapers award of inspirational independent shops 2020 and finalist for Muddy Stiletto award 2021 and we still might win!

Sub Couture staff are known for their friendly warm personal customer service and providing a fantastic shopping experience. We know fashion and share our confidence in pulling a look together. Sub Couture also has a very successful online boutique presence and works with fashion web platform Atterley.

Sub Couture is now looking for an experience full time, part time, members with room to grow. Who will integrate with our fun, hard working team and help contribute to its success.

About the role:

You will be expected to work Full Time 5 days, Part time 2-3 days a week including a Saturday at least twice a month.

If you care about exceptional customer service and have experience then you could be part of our team in our new Stroud store. We want someone who loves fashion, a good communicator, organized, pragmatic, confident with computers and social media (basic understanding). A background in sales is preferably from a fashion or luxury goods background, but hands on customer sales experience is also acceptable.

Therefore, we are looking for an inspirational and energetic individual who can work independently but work well as part of a team.

You will assist the Store Manager in merchandising, stock control, sales, staff rotas, security, bookkeeping, social media, cleaning, general organization and tidiness of the store.

Having a hands-on approach to work and won’t be afraid to get stuck in at any level of the business – from team leading and training, to selling on the shop floor and visual merchandising.

Wages vary on experience from £9.50 to £11 per hour (can increase once trained)
