A new Tex-Mex taste comes to the Five Valleys Market

16 November 2020

Another local food trader is set to join the food-to-go line up at Five Valleys Artisan Market in Stroud this December.

Headed up by Emilio Sanchis Granell, La Cantina will bring a new flavour to the market, with a menu filled with Tex-Mex style food including Burritos, Nachos, Quesadillas and more.

Emilio has been in the catering business for the past nine years, running his other venture ‘The Spanish Buffet’ at festivals up and down the UK serving homemade paella and tapas dishes. He is now ready to expand the business, bringing his passion to create authentic and tasty food to the Five Valleys indoor market.

The Five Valleys Market is home to a wide range of local artisan traders including Waghorne’s Butchers, Armadeli, The Artisan Baker, Xocolatl, the Lilypad Florist and more.

La Cantina will join the exciting food-to-go line up which includes Thai 2 Go, Falafel Mama, Non Solo Pasta, Pieminister, The Warren, Brody’s Takeout and Callaghin’s Kitchen.

Most of the traders at the Five Valleys Market are currently open selling groceries and essential items with some businesses operating click & collect, home delivery and takeaway services.

La Cantina are gearing up to open early December and can be found next to Armadeli.

Emilio said: “I am are really looking forward to launching La Cantina in December at the Five Valleys Market, opening alongside so many other fantastic local businesses who are all working together to make the Five Valleys Market Stroud’s number one stop for food and drink!”

Five Valleys Centre Manager, Dionne Moore said: “La Cantina will be the perfect addition to our indoor Market, bringing something completely different to the food-to-go line up.

“Our current traders are working really hard to service the people of Stroud through this lock down so we urge you to come down and support your local food and drink traders!”
