Crafting workshops launched at Five Valleys store

3 June 2021

Talented business owner Victoria Rowley with be throwing some light on the art of lampshade making in a range of special evenings courses being launched at her Five Valleys store in Stroud.

The independent homewares and gift store Victoria R opened in April this year selling a fabulous range of ethical and locally sourced products – including lamps, soft furnishings, jewellery and glassware.

Now Victoria is keen to pass on her skills to her customers in a range of workshops starting with Friday evening lampshade making – courses will be held on June 18th and 25th and July 2nd.

Each course will take place at the new Victoria R shop which can be found in the mall area just off King Street at Five Valleys and will run from 6pm-8pm.

The £35 course cost includes fabric to make a 30cm lampshade as well as light refreshments with a maximum of three people per evening.

Victoria said: “I am delighted to be part of the Five Valleys community here in Stroud and we’ve had such a warm welcome from everyone since the store opened in April. We’re excited now to be able to launch our in store workshops and we hope these will be really popular with our customers.”

Dionne Moore, Centre Manager at Five Valleys Shopping Centre, said: “We are slowly starting to build up our diary of events at Five Valleys. The workshop events offer something really different and unique and we’re sure they will be well received by our shoppers.”
