Emergency Services Community Fun Day coming to Merrywalks

The team at Merrywalks are gearing up to host an Emergency Services Community Fun Day in partnership with Gloucestershire Police Force and Gloucestershire Fire Service.

On Saturday 27th April from 10am-3pm there will be a showcase of the brand new Gloucestershire Police cars and Gloucestershire Fire engines as well as representatives from the fire service recruitment team.

The event is aimed at promoting Mobile Phone Awareness month, with lots of fun activities taking place at Merrywalks including face painting and performances from the Five Valleys Circus.

Merrywalks Centre Manager Dionne Moore said: “We are really excited to be hosting this fantastic community event here at Merrywalks to promote mobile phone awareness month with such fun activities for the whole family to enjoy!”

The team from Merrywalks are working in partnership with Gloucestershire Police Force and Gloucestershire Fire Service to deliver the community fun day.

Steve Lindsay from Gloucestershire Police said: “We are delighted to be working on our first community event with the team from Merrywalks to raise awareness of our services within the local community as well as enjoying some family fun”.

Merrywalks is currently undergoing a major programme of improvement and investment and being rebranded as Five Valley’s.
