Five Valleys Lift Restored After Vandal Attack

Five Valleys Lift Restored After Vandal Attack
29 March 2022
Five Valleys Shopping Centre are delighted to announce that their main lift will be in full working order from today, after vandals caused thousands of pounds worth of damage earlier this year.
Jessica Derham, Centre Manager at Five Valleys Shopping Centre, said:
“We very excited to announce that the Five Valleys lift will be back up and
running today.
“We recognise how important the lift is
for our customers and those using the bus services, so every effort has been
made to get this back up and running as quickly as possible.”
The Schindler Lift was installed last
April and cost £120k. It was installed as the old lift was notable unreliable
and left many without access to the centre
The new lift was damaged in February
after an attack by Vandals left £4.5k worth of damage.
The Five Valleys Landlord reacted
quickly to the situation, immediately ordering specialist parts from Germany to
make sure the lift was in perfect condition as soon as possible.
These parts have now been fitted and the lift is fully restored. Once again allowing
full accessibility to all of Five Valleys thriving retailers, market traders
and events.
Jessica added: “Five Valleys Shopping Centre apologizes for any
inconvenience caused and is looking forward to welcoming customers back to the
centre.”
