Italian food trader expands at Five Valleys Market

20 January 2021

The popular Italian street food business Non Solo Pasta have announced plans to expand and take on a larger unit at the successful Five Valleys Market in Stroud.

The Market area is a major part of the centre’s refurbishment and opened last year with Non Solo Pasta one of the first local companies to join the line-up.

Despite the ongoing restrictions throughout the pandemic the market has grown in popularity with some great food to go and artisan traders launching their businesses in the Borough Market style area.  A new Good Sixty home delivery service has also launched in recent weeks.

Non Solo Pasta is owned by Matteo Conte and Clara Cardillo, a young couple from the south of Rome who relocated to the region two years ago and have built up a strong reputation at local Farmer’s Markets for delicious and authentic Italian food.

The couple are passionate about serving traditional Italian food including award winning Arancini, pasta dishes, desserts and vegan options.

Whilst they are currently focussing on take away options the couple are now planning for the future by relocating to a larger unit opposite the award winning Artisan Baker at Five Valleys - giving them scope to create a seating area and offer a dine in experience.

Centre Manager of Five Valleys, Dionne Moore said: “We are really proud of our market here at Five Valleys and of the traders who have adapted and continued to grow and thrive in recent months.

“Non Solo Pasta have been a great addition to the market since thy opened last July and it is great news that they are now taking their business to the next level with plans to expand.”

Matteo from Non Solo Pasta said: “We love being part of the Five Valleys Market and we are really looking forward to growing and expanding the business, offering a wider menu and the option for seating when the restrictions allow us to.”
