Sunday becomes funday at Five Valleys
5 June 2023
As we enter the busy summer period Five Valleys is livening up the centre on Sundays with the return of their Sunday Funday campaign rounding off the weekend for Stroud shoppers.
The centre team has also relaunched a brand-new website www.fivevalleysstroud.co.uk showcasing the fantastic shopping offer now available within the town’s shopping centre, which has been undergoing an extensive redevelopment programme for the past four years.
The new website features regular blogs, a series of recipes and a packed events diary to get behind the retailers and traders who now open seven days per week.
Although Sunday is traditionally a day of rest, the centre is giving everyone a reason to step out, visit their high street and support local independents working all week to deliver fantastic local produce, goods and services.
Creating a fantastic and welcoming atmosphere is at the heart of this plan with outdoor seating, live music, cookery demonstrations and other acts which will be announced weekly to make this a super Sunday for all.
Centre Manager, Jack Simpson, said: “We have just launched our Courtyard and have a brilliant programme of events planned for shoppers to enjoy over the weekends.
“In connection to this our retailers have extended their opening hours reopening during core hours every Sunday to take advantage of this.”
This weekend kicks off the new and improved Sundays with live music from talented duo, Guitar OD, who will be performing a variety of popular songs within the Courtyard.
A variety of outdoor garden games will also be available this weekend in the centres new Courtyard, for families to enjoy some summer fun and activities whilst shopping.
Shoppers can enjoy the music and relaxing atmosphere whilst indulging in a tasty lunch from a wide variety of street food vendors such as House of Piri, the Noodle Bar, Thai2Go, Non Solo Pasta, Kyuri Sushi, Oh Crepe and La Cantina.
As well as food, the centre has several stores open from 10am until 4pm every Sunday including Jojo Maman Bebe, Home Bargains and Wilko. Families may also want a break from shopping to enjoy a film at Vue or a game at Stroud Bowl.
Sandersons Boutique is open every Sunday and brings to Stroud a range of amazing ladieswear brands including Holland Cooper, Barbour, Barbour International, Pennyblack, Levi’s, Soya Concept and Whistles.
The store also has an amazing menswear collection including Jacob Cohen, Derek Rose, Superdry, Levi's, Gran Sasso and Armani.
Alongside the clothing offer, Sandersons have also built up a reputation for luxury fragrances with brands including Parfums de Marly, Miller Harris, Penhaligon’s, House of Oud, Atkinsons and Chanel.
The centre has celebrated a number of new business openings recently, the latest being Indian street food vendor, Namaste and New York style deli, Breaking The Habit. If shoppers haven’t visited for some time, the centre team is urging people to use their Sundays to come and take a look at the changes that have taken place.
