Visitors enjoy egg-cellent time during fun-filled weekend of Easter activities at Five Valleys
1 April 2024
Thousands
of visitors enjoyed an egg-cellent time at Five Valleys over the Easter
holidays as the shopping centre hosted a series of fun-filled activities and events.
Youngsters
got the chance to meet and pet donkeys, sheep, goats, bunnies and more on
Wednesday [27 March] as a small farmyard was set up in the centre’s courtyard.
Meanwhile,
the following day Peter Rabbit spread some Easter cheer by hopping around the
centre.
Visitors
also got to enjoy live music and a vast array of international street food –
from pasta to Pad Thai – plus pop up traders including Los
Cubanos Cuban street food and R&R Delights cakes, all as part of the
popular Friday Night Food Market.
The
centre’s monthly market returned on the Saturday, which boasted small businesses such as Gifted for You,
Sallydolally Designs, Pawfecta UK and more.
Kids
have also been encouraged to get involved in a special Easter Bunny hunt between
April 2 and 4, with the chance to win a fantastic prize hamper. Entries cost only
£1 with all proceeds donated to the centre’s chosen charity, Allsorts, which provides
a range of activities for children and young people with additional needs and
disabilities, as well as support groups for the whole family.
Kelly
Winkworth, Assistant Centre Manager at Five Valleys, said: “The centre was
absolutely buzzing over the Easter break and it was great to see so many people
taking part and really enjoying the activities. We saw a lot of happy, smiling
faces!
“The Easter extravaganza kicked off our centre's 2024 events programme. We aim to try and offer something for everyone to enjoy, so please keep an eye out for future events and activities hosted at Five Valleys.”
