Award winning The Artisan Baker unveils new café area and menu at Five Valleys
30 July 2025
The Artisan Baker at Stroud’s popular Five Valley’s Food Hall has got a whole new look with not only a stylish new café area, but also an extended menu.
Prioritising locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, the award-winning Artisan Baker is owned by talented baker Ori Hellerstein and joined the Five Valleys Food Hall line up in 2020.
The bakery has quickly gained a reputation for its award-winning artisan bakes, and open-plan prep area and kitchen, giving customers the opportunity to watch Ori and the team create their much-loved pastries and loaves.
The business has now expanded into a neighbouring unit at Five Valleys previously occupied by Los Cubanos, which has now relocated to a new purpose-built market unit in the Market Hall.
The exciting expansion has allowed the already renowned bakery, to have the extra room the team need to grow their baking capacity and to launch a café dining experience with a broader menu.
Customers can now enjoy tasty offerings of breakfast, brunch and lunch options with plans to further extend the menu when a new chef is in place at the Stroud café and bakery.
The move into the former Los Cubanos unit is also facilitating an expansion of The Artisan Baker’s wholesale operations, helping to stock other local businesses.
Ori, owner and Head Baker said: “The opportunity to grow The Artisan Baker at Five Valleys is a great for us. We are really happy to have enhanced the experiences of our loyal customer base by combining our bakery with the lovely new café area, as we have at our Imperial Park branch in Cheltenham.”
“The bakery is still open-plan, so customers can still enjoy seeing how our artisan goods are crafted – whilst also enjoying our new café space and food menus.”
Centre Manager at Five Valleys, Erica Malpass, said: “We are always so pleased to see successful businesses expand and grow at Five Valleys, our Food Hall is really growing in popularity and we have some fantastic traders here. We wish Ori and his team all the best in their extended space.”
