This will be the 25th charity shop Helen & Douglas House has opened. The charity opened their first shop in Oxford Covered Market in Oxford in 2003. In 2023/24 the Helen & Douglas House shops raised £1.4m to help local terminally ill children.
Helen & Douglas House children’s hospice cares for terminally ill children and their families across the Thames Valley and the home counties at home, in hospital and at the hospice. It is a place where families can create happy memories in their last days, weeks, months or years together.
Mona Polo, Helen & Douglas House Charity Shop Manager for the Stroud shop said: “We are excited to be opening a new shop in Stroud to raise money to help terminally ill children in such a great location on the King Street side of the Five Valleys Shopping Centre.
You will find some very high-quality designer and high street womenswear, menswear, and accessories, as well as great homeware products. The urban-industrial boutique-style shop creates a great ambiance and brings a new shopping experience to Stroud.
