Japanese soul food stall now open at Five Valleys Market

8 July 2020

The Japanese soul food trader Tomari-Gi is the latest company to open at the Five Valley’s indoor market in Stroud.

The popular West Country outfit has built up a great reputation for its delicious ramen, fried chick-en, gyoza, kimchi and katsu curry and now customers can click and collect their delicious food from the new location in the market.

Tomari-Gi opened on Saturday (July 4th) with a click and collect and take away beer service and will offer a full counter service when construction work in their part of the market is completed.

They join Marrows Fruit and Veg which opened on Thursday July 2nd. A host of other traders will be joining the line up in a phased launch over the coming weeks – including Callaghin’s Kitchen, Piem-inister and Xocolatl.

Calum Spencer from Tomari-Gi said: “We have had such a great response to our new venture at Five Valleys and really lovely feedback about the unit - It’s great to be a part of the new indoor market with our authentic Japanese soul food.

“We’re launching with a click and collect takeaway service for now but in the next two weeks we will be able to offer a full counter service for customers.”

Centre manager at Five Valleys, Dionne Moore, said: “The Tomari-Gi stall looks fantastic and their food is amazing, a lovely addition to our traders here at the market.

“We’re looking forward to welcome more traders, and new customers throughout the next few weeks.”
