Join the team at Five Valleys for some bank holiday and half-term fun with the Gruffalo Trail
20 May 2024
There is plenty of family fun in store at Five Valleys over the
bank holiday and school half-term – including a chance to enjoy the twists and
turns of the Gruffalo Trail.
Children will be able to pick up their trail maps from JoJo Maman Bébé that will take them on a journey around
the Stroud-based shopping centre.
Those taking part need to keep an
eye out for the letters that will appear in store window helping to spell out a word. Once the trail is complete youngsters can return their sheet to JoJo’s to be entered into a fun
prize draw!
The trail runs from Bank Holiday Monday (May 27) until Saturday
(June 1) and is just one of the many fun reasons to visit Five Valleys for a great
family day out during the school break.
Erica Malpass, Centre Manager at Five Valleys, said: “If you
want to spend some fun family time together whilst the kids are off school then
Five Valleys is the place to be.
“The Gruffalo Trail is sure to spark your children’s imagination
and we also have many other things going on at the centre to help keep everyone
entertained.”
In
addition to the Gruffalo Trail, there are many more reasons to visit Five
Valleys over the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend and half-term break.
Five
Valleys is always the place to be on Friday evenings as the bustling Late Night
Market will be in full swing until 8pm, offering cuisine to suit all tastes
from Indian to Italian to Mexican to Thai. Visitors can also enjoy live music
as they eat and drink.
And the
fun doesn’t stop there as you can play a game of bowling at Stroud Bowl every
Friday from 7pm until closing time for only £5 per person.
If
movies are your thing, then check out the latest blockbuster and family film
releases at Vue, with cinema tickets starting from just £7.99 when you book
online.
The
popular monthly market will also return on Saturday, May 25, between 10am and
4pm.
This is your chance to discover a variety of treasures created
locally by independent businesses including Gifted For You selling cakes, brownies and
cookie pies, Natures Inspiration with their botanical resin jewellery, Pawfecta UK with high quality pet treats and enrichment, plus many more.
The
events are the latest in a string of exciting developments announced so far
this year at Five Valleys, which has seen Sports Direct, Tesco Express and
Stroud Library all open at the shopping centre.
In
addition, Sandersons Boutique department store recently welcomed customers back with a
glitzy relaunch party and is open for business.
Five
Valleys shopping centre was purchased by Dransfield Properties in 2018 and has
so far seen close to £30m of investment improving the main shopping centre
malls, creating a high-quality indoor food market and consolidating new medical
facilities.
The
regeneration project has helped safeguard and create just over 400 jobs.
