Rough Hands brews up an upsized space at Five Valleys with new location planned!

The popular independent Stroud coffee shop Rough Hands is on the move – but not too far!
After four successful years at Five Valleys shopping centre the much-loved café is relocating next door into a brand-new unit which has just been completed as part of the centre’s recent expansion.
The move will give business owner Sam Humphris and his team the space they need to keep pace with their growing community of loyal customers.
The new unit will also feature a fabulous outdoor seating area – perfect for enjoying Rough Hands’ renowned coffee and pastries right in the heart of Stroud.
Rough Hands has become a firm favourite with Five Valleys customers, known for its high-quality speciality coffee and laid-back atmosphere.
The café’s unique name is inspired by “Rough Hands” – a track by Canadian band Alexisonfire, one of Sam’s personal favourites.
The Rough Hands team are now planning their move ready to re-open in their new space in early August.
Sam said: “We have had four great years here at Five Valleys and its been great to see how the business has grown – we opened Rough Hands with a real focus on good coffee and that’s definitely not going to change in our new unit.
“We’ll have more space, more light and a new outdoor area – and it will still feel like home, we’re really looking forwards to welcoming our customers there.”
It’s expected that the café will close for a few days around August 4th and re-open a few days later.

“Sam and his team are a great part of the Five Valleys community and it’s great to see another local business expanding and growing here.”
Further new businesses will also be moving into the additional retail and office space created by the expansion of the centre next to Santander in the Mall area.
