Thai 2 Go now open at Stroud’s new indoor street food market

Local Thai street food trader Thai 2 Go have now opened for business at the Five Valleys Indoor Market.

Ian Calvert and Sudjai Phaophong from Painswick will bring freshly made, authentic Thai street food to the market, changing their menu and introducing new dishes on a weekly basis.

Their passion for Thai food began in North Eastern Thailand selling BBQ Thai snacks on a market stall before returning to the UK and opening one of the first Thai restaurants in Painswick in 1997.

Their restaurant was hugely popular and ran successfully for 10 years. Ian and Sudjai have now launched their new business at Five Valleys, bringing traditional Thai dishes including Thai Red Curry, Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Beef Dishes, Rice Dishes Pork Satay and Stir Fry.

Centre Manager of Five Valleys, Dionne Moore said: “We are really excited to introduce Thai 2 Go to the Five Valleys Market and wish them every success with their new business venture.

“Ian and Sudjai have brought a wealth of knowledge and experience in creating authentic Thai dishes and we are really lucky to have them in Stroud!”

Thai 2 Go is located next to Callaghin’s Kitchen at the Five Valleys Indoor Market.
