hospice charity shop - supporting families across the region

Helen & Douglas House, the world’s first children’s hospice, is opening a new retail store at Five Valleys Shopping Centre in Stroud.

.The new store will help to raise funds to provide support for the hospice’s vital services; caring for children, with life-limiting conditions across the region.

The charity, and the children’s hospice movement, was founded in 1982, and it has since inspired 54 other specialist hospices for children across the UK, and more globally.

With 24 retail stores currently in the home counties, the charity relies on money raised at its shops along with donations and fundraising to meet the annual running costs, which amounts to £6 million each year.
